What is Google Apps?
Google Apps is an application suite having web-based email, documents & spreadsheets and schedule / task management.
You can perform all operations on a web browser so you can use it in any Internet environment.
You can easily use this function anywhere just like viewing web pages.
FGBB offers broadband environment as an Internet service provider and Google is developing a well-established online personal service.
Google Apps connects customers' demand and plays a role of supporting the broadband service and Google service.
Why is Google Apps used for your service?
We select Google to offer useful services for improving efficiency, convenience and communications by unifying plural functions with high stability and utility such as web-based email environment.
How do I use it?
The FGBB members can immediately use Google Apps service immediately.
Normal Google services can be authenticated at the same time only by logging in with the issued user name and passwords.
When accessing Google service directly, it will be convenient if [Start Page] is set as a default web page.
From [Start Page], you can check web-based email, calendars and documents and chat with friends in the contact address list.
Access to email
Web-based email is equipped with various functions and is integrated with other Google services.
An online email account has functions of chatting with friends in the contact address list and sorting newly arriving emails by creating filters.
There are other options.

Setting procedures are about the same with those for Gmail.
When entering an email address with the mail client, enter a complete mail address including domain( "issued account"@ fgb2.jp).

In what way does the Google service cooperate with FiberGate?
In the Google Apps package, you can use the same use name for all services. Once logging in, it enables you to access other services.
You can access other services [Start Page].
Custom contents are shown in [Start Page] however not shown till you log in.
Newly arriving emails, schedules in the calendar and updated documents are displayed in [Start Page].
Furthermore, you can chat with friends on the contact addresses (address book) from the email screen Also, you can send an invitation mail for the schedule in calendar and that for joint editing of a document or a spreadsheet.
About document
A web-based word processor and spreadsheet program can be accessed and edited from any place.
Documents are stored online, and a creator, the invited person can be able to access the documents from a PC connected to Internet and change simultaneously.
When either of them changes something on the documents, the other user can check the changes in real time.
You can create new documents and use them immediately after uploading files from your PC. The services are integrated so when you invite other users and have them check or edit a document, you can invite persons in the contact list easily.

Google Search is equipped same as the other Google services. Even when you do not remember a location of a document, you can search for the document by the search and access it.

What is an advantage of Google Talk?
You can chat with friends with your mail account and enjoy voice call for free by Google Talk. When the friends are off-line, you can leave a voice mail and transfer files with chatting.
The convenient PC telephone message (VoIP) is performed with high-tone quality.
Once connecting to the Google Talk network, you can enjoy to call any place in the world for free.
